Kim Bong’s Wood Career – Spirit in Hoi An

KIM BONG - formerly known as KIM BONG CHAU talking shape in the early of 15th, century - is an illustrious handicraft community who had won fame from his event first days in the South Region of Viet nam ( xu Dang Trong) and in Hoi An - an Ancient town to be recorded as A world Culture Heritage by UNESCO in 2000 - and in Quang nam Province at present day.

Come from this community, the skillfull carpenter groups had contributed their refined talent to many urban construction work, arts wooden making, arts of merchant vessel build-up( Formely known as GHE BAU in vietnamese) in Hoi an or elsewhere.Over centuries, KIM BONG handicraft community still fully kept his own exquisite, sophisticated and polished talent of wooden handicraft. Some decorative works, carved and nacred works are now still alive in Hoi an Ancient town Construction Works and in Hue Ancient Capital in Viet nam.
